Have a look at the eventdemo1.c file for a simple example of how to use events to create a clickable menu. It should provide a starting point. The PGPLOT plotting library (which has C and Fortran APIs) support events from AquaTerm so you might be able to do something with that. Gnuplot 4.4.3 is self compiled as 32bits application (against the Aquaterm). It only uses provided by Mac OS X (and Aquaterm of course). Bundled into a with the aid of Platypus. It is interesting to note that if I compile Aquaterm 1.0.1 against the 10.4SDK with gcc-4.0.2 and then compile Gnuplot (as 32 bit) then everything works as expected.
